I wrote this song for the album with Sundra Manning, an amazing musician and producer who has worked with everyone from Prince to India.Aire. Most of my songs are about love and/or heartache (lol) so I wanted to write one about something different. In this case, it's about how I see hope even in these trying times and how we all gotta keep fighting for what we believe in despite the all the personal challenges we face. I believe that we all have an inner-strength we can tap into even though it may not seem like it at times. There is so much to be hopeful about. Let's focus on that and let it inspire us!

We've had a great month for giving back in conjunction with my Love Again Project! At the end of March we performed for NFL players Vernon and Vonte Davis' Fundraiser in San Francisco in support of their Foundation which brings art programs to inner-city youth. Then last week we were honored to play for the Spring Fundraiser for Mo' Magic, a non-rpofit providing outreach and summer programs to youth in San Francisco. Events like this are always the most fullfilling for me as a performer. Being able to give back to the community while doing what I love is a double bonus!
